Charlotte Hubert took part in the May 1st events at the Familistère de Guise. This year is celebrating the bicentenary of Jean-Baptiste André Godin’s birth as well as the 150 years of Labor Day. She presented the undergoing restoration of the Mausoleum of the founder of the site.Built in blue stone of Soignies and adorned with bronze sculpture representing the work, family, immortality of the soul and busts of Jean-Baptiste André Godin and his wife Marie Moret. This mausoleum is listed Historical Monuments. The project includes the arrangement of the surrounding landscape, creating a visual relation between this recollection space and the exubertant Familistère.
