Built during the second half of the 16th century for a rich parliamentary of Rouen close to king Henri II, the castle of Bonnemare is today attributed to architect Philibert de l’Orme.

Almost unchanged since the Renaissance, it is a unique testimony of a “country house” from this period. The owners of the castle have recently converted the place into a guest house and wish to transform the entrance pavilion in luxury rooms, while respecting the original architectural dispositions. The study that we carried out on the history of the building enabled us to draw out an architectural project respectful of the building’s heritage.
